My favorite hotdog place. Just a good hotdog. None of that extra, trying to be fancy. Whenever in the Bay Area I always try to pay a visit.
Best in taste and no other hot dog can beat that snap. This brick and motar still looks the same like it did in the 90's but now the booths and seating look and feel tiny compared to when I use to bring the kids here when they were school- aged. Fast casual/take and go. Like the simplicity of the menu, just dogs and packaged chips since there is no fryer or grill. The hot dogs are steaming hot. The condiments and toppings are put on for you by the sweet and friendly ladies who have been working there 20+ years! So sad to hear that Hayward location last day is today (7/13/2024) Appreciate this place even more now even if there is a bit of a wait in line. The staff are efficient and work quickly though. This place met my nostalgic feelings and I am so happy Caspers Hot Dogs still remains top dog in my book! At nearly $10 for a combo here Now can y'all bring it back to Costco?
Hi at Casper's Hot Dog shop has always been the place for a fantastic hot dog! Plus service with a smile & good conversation. The counter is always clean Because once the customer leaves it cleaned up & ready for the next customer. It's sad that they're down sizing now. But at least they still have shops still open for a great Hot Dog!
I love their mini hot dogs with cheese, tomatoes and onions!! So good and the service is great. There's plenty of parking and they're always open! An old favorite of our when we're on that side!
Casper's Hot Dog in Pleasant Hill is truly the best local hotdog spot in California! I've been enjoying their delicious dogs since I was a kid. My wife and I make it a monthly treat to savor the classic Casper dog. If you haven't experienced it yet, I highly recommend giving it a try!
Came to pick up hotdogs for the family as I was tired to cook any dinner tonight. The staff here is always super friendly and helpful and they work like a team to get your orders done quickly. Casper's never disappoints at this location which I have been coming since my children were little. The chocolate shakes are awesome and usually we get the meals which include a soda chips and a hotdog. My family enjoys the chili cheese dogs, as well as just the plain ketchup, relish, and mustard hotdogs.
My buddy and I were introduced to Casper's as we were chatting with a neighbor. She was raving about how delicious it is and cheap! Well that sealed the deal and we knew we had to make the trek over. The place itself has character. Old school, friendly neighborhood kind of character. That was boosted by the fact there were 3 super friendly ladies helping us with our order. We each got a Casper dog with "the works" which consisted of mustard, relish, raw onion and sliced tomatoes. We promptly devoured them. If it wasn't 2:30pm I probably would've gone for a 2nd. If I lived nearby this establishment I could definitely see myself frequenting it. A friendly, local place to grab a quick and delicious bite.
Great hot dog place. I got the classic dog with everything, that includes onions, tomatoes, relish and mustard. The two people I was with got the same. Cashier was super nice. Right after we got there a big crowd arrived. Very popular spot. Want a hotdog? Well this is a great place to go to. Casper's rocks!
